On May Day 2026, hundreds of people marched and rallied with union members at the San Francisco International Airport, who were in the middle of contract negotiations. Media reports said 25 people were arrested, including District 1 Supervisor and U.S. Congressional candidate Connie Chan, California State Senator Josh Becker, San Francisco District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman and a former San Francisco Sueprvisor, Jane Kim, who was running for California’s Insurance Commissioner.
Police say they were all cited and then release at the scene.
